The Holy Spirit - A first look
Who or What is The Holy Spirit?
You may already be confused by the title of this section, but in truth the words "who" and "what" are very accurate when it comes to describing the Holy Spirit of God. When we read the word of God (the Bible) there are some interesting things that we discover about God's Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is part of the so- called God Head. The God Head consists of Yahweh God the Father (The Highest), Yahweh God's Son Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit of Yahweh God. The Holy Spirit has both a gender (male) and like God's Son Jesus Christ, is in complete obedience to Yahweh God the Father.
The Holy Spirit has power and knowledge of Yahweh God's thoughts and intentions. The Holy Spirit is also a gift to those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
John 14:25 - 26 NKJV
(25) "These things I (Jesus Christ) have spoken to you while being present with you. (26) But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father (Yahweh God) will send in My name, He (the Holy Spirit) will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
A VERY SPECIAL GIFT...
This special gift is vital to a Christian because it allows access to both knowledge and power to us when granted by Jesus Christ and / or Yahweh God. The power that the Holy Spirit possesses can heal and destroy.
Non- believers sometimes have interactions with the Holy Spirit when they are searching for certain spiritual answers and have the right heart condition. Many times the first real experience with God's or His Son Jesus Christ comes through the Holy Spirit.
